Where fashion meets passion from Durban to behind the lens, the rising star (model) has made his way on successful journey in the modelling industry.
Born and raised in Durban, Siya's journey into the fashion world began with encouragement from friends and family. The local model from Umlazi C section opens up about his remarkable journey in the fashion industry.
“I was always told I had the look for modelling,” he recalls. But it wasn’t until he discovered his creative side in Grade 8 and 9 art classes that his true passion ignited.
Today, Siya's portfolio boasts an impressive array of photoshoots, collaborations, and runway shows. His latest project, featuring a clone of himself tying shoelaces, is a testament to his innovative spirit and dedication to his craft.
"I want to reach Adidas with this project," Siya shares. "I've always admired their style and creativity."
With his sights set on the international stage, Siya is determined to make a name for himself and pave the way for others.
In an interview with the Mondays Siya has shared with us that despite facing financial struggles early on, Siya persevered, using his modelling gig earnings to fund photoshoots. His advice to aspiring models and creatives? "Believe, be consistent, stay strong, and pray."
As Siya continues to rise through the ranks, his legacy is already taking shape. "I want to leave a mark that anything is possible with hard work and faith," he says. With his talent, passion, and unwavering commitment, there's no doubt Siya Henry will conquer the fashion world.
