The Shining Stars Africa Awards 2024, held at the prestigious Sandton Hotel, August 3, 2024, was a resounding success, celebrating outstanding achievements and excellence across various fields. This highly anticipated event brought together some of the brightest talents from across the continent for an evening of recognition, networking, and entertainment.
The event kicked off with a glamorous red carpet that was hosted by the beautiful Scelo P, where nominees and guests displayed their elegant attire and excitement for the night ahead. The ceremony was hosted by the charismatic Mfanele Jareed Nduku from South Africa, who was accompanied by the wonderful Helen Zulu (Zambia), who kept the audience engaged and entertained throughout the evening.
Over twenty awards were presented in categories ranging from business and entrepreneurship to arts and culture. Each winner delivered heartfelt acceptance speeches, expressing gratitude, and sharing inspirational stories of their journeys.
The audience was treated to spectacular performances by renowned artists, Deena Ade (Nigeria), Ntsetselelo Diamini (Swaziland), Jasper Boyz (USA), Subminal Duo (South Africa), Kiddo Takeover (Zimbabwe), Ofentse Barbie (South Africa), whose energetic and soulful renditions added a special touch to the celebration.
The event featured special tributes to influential figures who have made significant contributions to their respective fields. These moments were heartfelt and received standing ovations from the audience. The Shining Stars Africa Awards provided a platform for attendees to network and connect with industry leaders, fostering new collaborations and partnerships.
Guests enjoyed a gourmet dinner, featuring a variety of exquisite dishes that celebrated the rich culinary heritage of Africa. A special mention goes to the Minister of Small Business, Stella Tembisa Ndabeni Abrahams, whose presence and support added prestige to the event. Underscored the event's pan-African spirit and commitment to celebrating excellence across the continent.
