Ntashibear's passion for comedy started in his childhood, where he was known as the class clown. During the pandemic, he turned to TikTok to cope with lockdown and online learning challenges. His early videos showcased his silly side, but as he gained confidence and feedback, he developed his signature style.
My personality plays a significant role in my style; I’m a happy and energetic person, which reflects in my characters, like Ntashi Bear, hyperactive and noisy person inspired by township” Ntashibear draws inspiration from comedy legends like Dave Chappelle, Keegan-Michael Key, and Trevor Noah. He's motivated by his audience's feedback and support, which drives him to continue creating and innovating.
He's developed a cast of characters, including Ntashi Bear, the clueless gynecologist, and the man who doesn't drink alcohol. His comedy tackles everyday life, relationships, and career struggles.
“I created my characters by observing life in the Township of Emqashweni, inspired by people’s behaviour when they suddenly become wealthy- I exaggerated their hyperactive and noisy traits, making them lovable and hilarious” added Lindani Shozi. Ntashibear chose TikTok for its vast user base and emphasis on creative content. He engages with his audience through comments, duets, and hashtags, and collaborates with other creators to expand his reach.
The talented comedy content creator finds inspiration in everyday life, personal experiences, and interactions with his brothers. He believes creativity is a muscle that needs exercise and takes breaks to reflect and recharge.
“However my biggest source of inspiration comes from my personal life and interactions with my two brothers, 101 chain and Quelesss Woza. We constantly joke around and playfully tease each other, which often leads to brilliant ideas for skits”

deliver the punchline or key message quickly.”
“Be authentic. Viewers can tell if you are being genuine or not. Stay true to your
characte's voices and personalities that is why I do research and use attention-
grabbing hooks. Start your videos with something eye catching.”

“During my time as Ntashibear, I had the opportunity to collaborate with several talented Gqom artists, incorporating their music into my skits. Some notable collaborations include working with Queless Woza, La_AceMusiQ, Sjongo Boyz, and Newlandz Finest”
