The weeklong durban business fair (DBF) programme, which empowered a number of entrepreneurs while exposing over 550 local businesses to an international audience ended last week.

The DBF exhibition held at the Durban exhibition center over three days, attracted over 12 500 visitors.
Entrepreneurs hailed a success as they were inspired by the high-profile speakers who encouraged them to never stop striving to achieve their goals.
The DBF had successful business owners that shared their stories of success included, Nkazimulo Ngidi, founder of Amabheshu Innovators, Sthembiso Ngubo of Afromed medical services; Agnes Mhlongo of Switched on Trade CC and house of ST Luke owner Mxo Mkhize.
The DBF was held under the theme '25 years of building sustainable businesses'. Another aspect of the programme was the performing of local artists where they had a chance to perform to the DBF's largest audience.
The DBF simultaneously took place with the Durban fashion fair.
The DBF exhibition concluded with the announcement of the winners of the best stand competition. The 1st winner got a chance to walk away with a certificate, an international Business exhibition/conference sponsored by EThekwini municipality's business support, Tourism, market and Agribusiness unit, stationary voucher worth R5 000 and much more.
Initiatives such as the DBF assists I'm dealing with challenges sucha s unemployment and poverty.
